Michael W. Handis has worked in academic libraries for several years both as a para-professional and as a faculty librarian. Most of his work experience has been in the technical services (cataloging, acquisitions, collection management) area of academic libraries, although he has experience in just about every area.
He has a B.A. in English literature and history, an M.L.S. and an M.A. in history from the University of Pittsburgh. In 2018, he completed the Masters of Arts in Liberal Studies program, with a concentration in the Archaeology of the Classical, Late Antique, and Islamic Worlds track, at The Graduate School and University Center, City University of New York.
He has the rank of Associate Professor and currently he works as the Collection Management Specialist at The Graduate School and University Center, City University of New York.
